I believe the landscape can be used to illustrate deeper truths about our human experience.  In my work the natural world contextualizes what can’t be written in words- unconscious desires, fears, and hopes are explored in imagery.

 

I use natural phenomena in my work as well to illustrate the impossible.  Utilizing the natural environment as a metaphor, it inspires those who look to see often overlooked forms and patterns in nature. 

 

Being mindful of the complexity and detail in natural forms, the viewer is encouraged to see and appreciate the overall complexity and fragility of ecosystems, awakening a desire to protect it.
